L’Oréal House Warsaw

Trzop Architects

Project description

The reception of the new L'Oréal office has been designed in muted shades of white, gray, and pastels, combined with accents of aged gold – inspired by the brand's identity and L'Oréal’s history. The reception desk is made of white marble and gold mesh. The L'Oréal logo, suspended on the wall behind the desk, highlights the elegant entrance to the office. Arches are repeated in various elements of the office and serve as a key motif, integrating different spaces and functions within the office.

Common space

The comfortable workstations in a cozy, modern open space are kept in light gray tones with copper accents and details. The office has been designed in a way that doesn't overwhelm employees during their workday. A very important aspect in the office design was acoustics. The lamps, specially designed for L'Oréal by Plus Lighting, are suspended above the connected desk gro

The heart of the workspace is the communal area—employees can meet informally around a central island table or by the panoramic windows that open to the terrace. The design team focused on the L'Oréal community, prioritizing the well-being, habits, and needs of the people. Wall niches have been integrated with soft seating, ideal for quick meetings or short-term work. Soundproof phone booths ensure privacy during phone conversations. The recreation and collaboration zones were designed to foster a friendly atmosphere and enhance employee productivity. Each conference room draws inspiration from L'Oréal products, featuring freestanding forms with rounded corners and arched glass walls.

French roots

The main design motif of the L'Oréal office interior features arches, which imitate modern arcades—an extraordinary embodiment of elegance and grace. For centuries, this form has served as a practical architectural structure, an amazing detail, and a backdrop for Parisian street fashion shows and clothing revolutions across eras. The new headquarters incorporates a series of semicircular, elliptical, and irregular arches, which complement the design. These arches also pay tribute to the brand's French roots, the history of L'Oréal’s first Parisian office on Rue Royale, and the architectural elements of the Browary Warszawskie building.

Industrial character

The industrial character of the building is emphasized by open ceilings, visible installations, and glass walls with an industrial look in the workspace. The atmosphere is further enhanced by copper, brass, gold mesh accents, and greenery. Plants create a natural, visual, and sound-absorbing partition while also improving air quality and humidity, positively affecting the health and well-being of the L'Oréal team.
